Augustus, (a second William?)

“Grab this!” was the last thing I heard before I was under.
The brown surrounded my vision, and the dark colour made it only possible to see silhouettes on the surface, of a tall man in a top hat. I attempted to swim up, but something dragged on my legs, and wouldn’t let go. My immediate thought was that the tall man’s slaves were pulling me under, but then I changed my mind, as I reconciled how strict he was about this river.
Oh, how much fun I was having, eating mushrooms, grass, flowers, branches and leaves, and I still would be, if I hadn’t felt to drink from here.
I could see my mum, screaming at the tall man, as the chocolate water finally obscured my vision. I had always thought myself not streamlined enough for exercises such as swimming, and now I was regretting my decision.

Something touched my foot, and I swivelled in the water to see a glass pipe, in which the river was being sucked into. If only that stupid boy found something better than a lollypop for me to grab onto!
I twisted around to grip the edge of the pipe, but I undershot, my arms going straight into the pipe.
My head, then neck, then chest followed though seamlessly, but then my waist caught on a join in the pipe.

As the river-water cleared from above my head, I saw though hazy eyes the tall top hat man with the purple waistcoat and a long cane, the stupid boy and his granddad, the spoilt girl and her rich dad, the boy who can’t stop talking about computer games and the girl obsessed with bubble-gum.
I only just heard my own sweet mother scream “Boiler”, but the top hat man’s reply was to quiet and controlled to hear. I could feel the pressure building up below me, and I sluggishly slipped skywards, getting slightly faster each second, and I went a little higher, and higher, and I couldn’t stop, and my hands were stuck above me, and the chocolate below me, and as I finally was shot up the pipe, I yelled
“Curse you Willie Wonka!”
